- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until softened. Season with spices.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
- Spoon filling into tortillas and roll tightly, folding in sides.
- Heat oil and fry chimichangas until golden and crispy.
- Drain on wire rack and serve hot.
Notes
Chimichangas can also be baked or air-fried for a lighter option.
