Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk-blackberry mixture.
- Stir in hot coffee until combined.
- Divide batter into pans and bake 30–35 minutes.
- Cool completely before filling and frosting with ganache.
