Banana Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 tsp espresso powder
  • 0.25 cup milk warm
Topping
  • 0.25 cup caramel sauce plus more for drizzle

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
  2. Dissolve espresso powder in warm milk and set aside.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Fold in mashed bananas and espresso mixture.
  6. Gently mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into pan and bake 50–60 minutes.
  8. Cool, drizzle with caramel, slice, and serve.

Notes

For best flavor, use very ripe bananas and high-quality caramel sauce.
