Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp cloves optional
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 bananas ripe, mashed
  • 0.5 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
Caramel Swirl
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce homemade or store-bought

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in mashed bananas and cooled coffee until smooth.
  6. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour half the batter into the pan, drizzle 1/4 cup caramel sauce, then add remaining batter and swirl lightly.
  8. Bake 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cover with foil if browning too fast.
  9. Cool 10–15 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack.
  10. Slice and serve with additional caramel drizzle or banana slices.

Notes

Store airtight at room temperature for 3 days or freeze slices for longer storage.
