  • 2 large chicken breasts sliced into strips
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream room temperature
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 tsp paprika

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Sauté seasoned chicken in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until softened and golden.
  4. Add garlic and cook briefly, then stir in flour.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring to form a smooth sauce.
  6. Add mustard and paprika, return chicken to skillet, and simmer.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until creamy.
  8. Serve over noodles and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Avoid boiling after adding sour cream to maintain a smooth texture.
