Ingredients
  

Chicken Shawarma
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 0.33 cup Greek yogurt plain
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Whisk together yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices in a bowl.
  2. Add chicken thighs and coat thoroughly. Marinate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet.
  4. Arrange chicken on the sheet, slightly overlapping.
  5. Bake 25–30 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Broil 2–3 minutes for charred edges if desired.
  7. Rest briefly, slice thinly, and serve.

Notes

Serve with pita, garlic sauce, or rice bowls.
