- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit 5–7 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add egg, melted butter, vanilla, and yeast mixture. Mix until soft dough forms.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll each into a 10-inch circle. Stack with cinnamon filling between layers.
- Trace a circle and cut 16 strips, leaving center intact. Twist each pair of strips twice to form star points.
- Let shaped star rise 20–30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm bread.
- Cool slightly, then pull apart and serve warm.
Notes
For extra sparkle, add a few fresh cranberries or a pinch of edible glitter on top.
