Ingredients
  

  • 2 steaks ribeye or sirloin
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp thyme

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear steaks in hot olive oil for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and rest.
  3. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté briefly.
  4. Pour in beef broth and cream, then add spices. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return steaks to pan and spoon sauce over before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately with mashed potatoes or vegetables.
