- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease baking dish.
- Slice sweet potatoes thinly.
- Melt butter and sauté garlic.
- Add cream, milk, and seasonings. Simmer gently.
- Layer potatoes with sauce and cheese.
- Cover and bake 35 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
- Rest before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add Gruyère or rosemary.
