Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta fettuccine or penne
Chicken
  • 2 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon juiced and zested
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • to taste salt and pepper

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve pasta water and drain.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Add pasta and toss, using pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
  7. Return chicken to skillet, toss gently, and serve.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice and freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
