Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken finely diced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sriracha optional
Slaw
  • 1 cup green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup purple cabbage shredded
  • 0.5 cup carrots shredded
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Skillet

Method
 

  1. Prepare slaw by mixing cabbage, carrots, vinegar, sugar, and mayonnaise. Chill.
  2. Cook garlic and ginger in sesame oil.
  3. Add chicken and cook until done.
  4. Stir in sauces and simmer until thickened.
  5. Fry or bake wonton wrappers into taco shapes until crispy.
  6. Fill shells with chicken and top with slaw.
  7. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Assemble just before serving to maintain crispiness.
