Ingredients
  

Fried Rice Base
  • 1.5 cups long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 3 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp green onions sliced

  • 9x13 baking dish
  • Aluminum foil
  • Mixing bowl
  • Fork

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread uncooked rice evenly in the dish and pour broth over it.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, onion powder, and pepper.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, fluff rice, and push rice to one side.
  6. Pour beaten eggs into the empty space and add frozen vegetables.
  7. Stir everything together, cover, and bake another 10–15 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Add cooked protein if desired. Adjust soy sauce to taste.
