Ingredients
  

Bibimbap Bowl
  • 2 cups cooked white rice warm
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups spinach washed
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup zucchini sliced
  • 2 eggs fried
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and cook ground beef until browned.
  3. Add soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and gochujang to the beef and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Sauté spinach with a pinch of salt and sesame oil until wilted.
  5. Sauté carrots and zucchini until tender-crisp, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Fry eggs sunny-side up or to your preference.
  7. Assemble bowls with rice, beef, vegetables, and egg.
  8. Add gochujang, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Mix well before eating.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, swap beef with tofu or mushrooms. Adjust spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
