Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth

  • 4 brioche buns

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and peppers until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking apart as it cooks.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning and remaining sauce ingredients. Simmer 8–10 minutes until thick.
  5. Toast buns and fill generously with Cajun chicken mixture. Serve warm.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level. Mixture can be made ahead and reheated.
