Ingredients
  

Fried Rice Base
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp butter cut into pieces
  • 3 eggs beaten

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Aluminum foil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread uncooked rice evenly in the baking dish and top with frozen vegetables.
  3. Whisk broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, and seasonings, then pour over rice.
  4. Dot with butter, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 55 minutes.
  5. Uncover, add eggs to one side, and bake uncovered for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir everything together, season to taste, and serve warm.

Notes

Add cooked protein or extra vegetables as desired.
