Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until glossy.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold gently until combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  7. Bake 23–27 minutes until the center is just set.
  8. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overbake for the fudgiest texture.
