Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
- Mix in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Sift in flour and salt; mix briefly until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and tap gently to release air bubbles.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until top is deeply golden and center jiggles.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate at least 4 hours before slicing.
Notes
Top should be very dark; this is intentional and adds flavor.
