Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 large ripe bananas about 1 cup mashed
  • 1.5 cups plain Greek yogurt unsweetened, xylitol-free
  • 0.5 cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 0.25 cup oat flour
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup blueberries for topping

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Fork or potato masher
  • Whisk or spatula
  • Silicone mold
  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. Place a silicone mold on a baking sheet for stability. Ensure bananas are very ripe.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the peeled bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt and peanut butter to the bananas. Whisk or stir until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Sprinkle the oat flour (and any optional add-ins) over the wet mixture. Fold together until no dry flour remains.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the cavities of the silicone mold, pressing down to fill completely. Smooth the tops. Add berry toppings if using.
  6. Transfer the baking sheet with the filled mold to the freezer. Freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or ideally overnight, until completely solid.
  7. Once frozen, pop the treats out of the mold. Store in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 3 months.
  8. Serve directly from the freezer as a cool, refreshing treat for your dog.

Notes

Always consult your vet before introducing new foods. Use only xylitol-free peanut butter and yogurt. Treat size should be appropriate for your dog's weight. These are treats, not a meal replacement.
