Thick slices of cabbage roasted until crispy on the edges and tender in the center, infused with garlic and olive oil.

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese optional

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Slice cabbage into thick steaks, keeping the core intact.
  3. Mix olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Brush mixture generously on both sides of cabbage steaks.
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Optional: add parmesan during last 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with herbs and serve hot.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture.
