Homemade Cheesy Breadsticks

Soft, golden breadsticks brushed with garlic butter and topped with melted mozzarella and herbs.

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar. Let foam for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine flour and salt, then add yeast mixture and olive oil.
  4. Knead dough until smooth, then roll into rectangle on baking sheet.
  5. Brush dough with garlic butter and top with cheeses.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Slice into breadsticks and serve warm.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture.
