Donut Bars
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Maple Glaze
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1-2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until batter forms.
  5. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until set. Cool completely.
  7. Whisk glaze ingredients and spread over cooled bars.
  8. Let glaze set before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use real maple syrup for best flavor.
