A quick and festive dessert made by turning Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into bite-sized truffles coated in white chocolate and decorated like mini Christmas trees.

Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes 8 cakes
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coating & Decoration
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 0.5 cup green candy melts for decoration
  • 2 tbsp sprinkles red & white
  • 1 tbsp crushed candy cane optional
  • 12 mini pretzel sticks optional for tree trunks

Equipment

  • Baking sheet

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Crumble the Christmas Tree Cakes into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  2. Add softened cream cheese and vanilla extract. Mix until combined and smooth.
  3. Scoop and roll the mixture into small 1–1.5 inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill the truffle balls in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Melt white chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip chilled truffles into melted white chocolate, then place back on parchment.
  7. Decorate with green candy melt zig-zags and sprinkles while the coating is still wet. Add pretzel stick trunks if desired.
  8. Let the truffles set completely, then serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
