Ingredients
  

Dog Breath Biscuit Dough
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour plus extra for dusting
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup fresh mint finely chopped
  • 0.33 cup coconut oil solid
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.75 cup low-sodium beef or chicken broth onion & garlic free

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
  3. Add the chopped parsley and mint to the dry ingredients and mix well to distribute.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the solid coconut oil, egg, and broth. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir with a spoon, then knead by hand into a cohesive dough.
  6. On a floured surface, roll the dough to ¼-inch thickness. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
  7. Place biscuits on the prepared sheet. Bake for 25-30 mins until firm and golden brown.
  8. Transfer biscuits to a wire rack to cool completely (1-2 hours) until hard and crisp.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Always introduce new treats slowly and consult your vet if you have concerns about specific ingredients for your dog.
