Ingredients
  

Muddy Buddy Coating
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Rice Krispies Base
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Coating
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and salt until fully combined.
  4. Place Rice Krispies cereal in a large bowl.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until fully coated.
  6. Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable bag or bowl with powdered sugar. Toss until fully coated.
  7. Spread the coated cereal on the prepared baking sheet and let cool until set, about 15–20 minutes.
  8. Break into clusters and serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra crunch, add crushed pretzels. For festive flavor, use white chocolate and sprinkles.
