Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Filling
  • 0.75 cup caramel sauce thick
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in sugars until glossy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Spread half the batter into pan and spoon caramel over top.
  6. Cover with remaining batter and swirl gently.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until set around edges.
  8. Cool completely and finish with flaky sea salt.

Notes

For extra gooey brownies, slightly underbake and allow to set while cooling.
