Ingredients
  

Cream Cheese Spread
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tbsp chives minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • to taste salt and pepper
Fillings
  • 8 oz smoked salmon slices
  • 1 small cucumber julienned or thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers drained
  • 4 large tortillas whole-grain or spinach
Garnish
  • to taste lemon wedges
  • to taste extra dill sprigs

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, dill, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Lay out each tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture, leaving edges clear.
  3. Layer smoked salmon, cucumber strips, capers, and optional greens over the cream cheese.
  4. Roll the tortillas tightly and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate 10 minutes to firm up.
  5. Slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels and arrange on a serving platter.
  6. Garnish with dill sprigs and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a flavor twist, try adding avocado or a dash of sriracha in the cream cheese.
