Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup strawberry cake mix dry
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup pink sanding sugar for rolling
  • 24 milk chocolate kisses unwrapped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, strawberry cake mix, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into balls and coat in pink sanding sugar.
  6. Bake 9–11 minutes until set and lightly crackled.
  7. Press a chocolate kiss into each cookie while warm.
  8. Cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

For best results, avoid overbaking to keep cookies soft.
