Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add gelatin powder and mix.
- Beat in egg and vanilla. Add milk and mix.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.
- Roll into balls, coat in sugar, and place on baking sheets.
- Bake 9–11 minutes. Press chocolate kiss into center immediately after baking.
- Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
Notes
Do not overbake for soft centers. Chill dough if needed to prevent spreading.
