  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Brown ground beef in skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in sauce and simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice.

Notes

Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing gochujang.
