Method
- Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar for 5–10 minutes.
- Mix flour and salt, then add yeast mixture, oil, and egg.
- Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise until doubled.
- Spread garlic herb butter and cheese over rolled dough.
- Roll, slice lengthwise, twist, and place in loaf pan.
- Rise again 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes until golden.
Notes
For extra crisp edges, bake 5 minutes longer uncovered.
