Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 eggs large
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Large skillet or saucepan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine beef and pork in large bowl.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix gently.
  5. Form into 1½-inch balls and place on baking sheet.
  6. Bake 18–22 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Optional: Simmer in marinara sauce for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill meatballs before baking and finish in marinara sauce.
