Ingredients
  

Sushi Rice
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
Spicy Crab Filling
  • 1 cup crab meat or imitation crab shredded
  • 3 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
Roll Assembly
  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1 cucumber julienned
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds toasted

Equipment

  • Bamboo sushi mat
  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Cook sushi rice and season with vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let cool to room temperature.
  2. Mix crab meat with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and lemon juice until creamy.
  3. Place nori on sushi mat and spread rice evenly, leaving top edge bare.
  4. Add spicy crab, cucumber, and avocado across the center.
  5. Roll tightly using the mat, sealing edge with water.
  6. Slice into pieces with a sharp wet knife and serve.

Notes

Adjust spice level to taste. Best served fresh.
